The Wire Artist Jeweller
Novembre 2004

Mrs. Helen Goga, chief editor for this magazine, has contacted me during the Spring of 2004. She visited my web site after clicking on the link of the virtual signature I use in a forum on wire jewellery making.  She thought it would be interesting to include my work in an article on five wire jewellery artists.  A writer from New Mexico contacted me to conduct an interview over the phone.  Here is Mrs. Lyn Sutton's introductory paragraph for this article :

Five notable artists share their passion for the medium, describe their unique pathways to professional success, offer good advice for others who dare to succeed...

SUTTON, Lyn. « Why wire works », The Wire Artist Jeweller, vol 7, No 9, November 2004, p. 5.

Le Mec à Dames

with Jean-Pierre Coallier,
Danielle Ouimet and
Christine Lamer

May 7, 2004
on TQS

At the end of April of 2004, I was surprised with an invitation to take part in a daytime show called Le Mec à Dames, that would go on air live on Friday, May 7, 2004 on TQS.

During this program, the host, Jean-Pierre Coallier, announced the coming segment by telling the viewers that the jewellery to be shown after the break was "really exceptional".

Co-hosts Danielle Ouimet and Christine Lamer seemed totally enthralled by the delicate work and the original quality of what was presented.  Both of them had their heart set on the same necklace in stainless steel and deep blue marbles.

Quebec great singer Ginette Reno, who was also invited for this show, made a lot of favourable comments on the collection displayed in the studio, and could not stop herself from gazing at the jewellery.  She finally gave in and asked me for a business card!

and Jean Airoldi

On March 15, 2004
on TVA

Jean Airoldi, famous Quebec designer and fashion columnist for Les Saisons de Clodine on TVA has included part of Un bijou de Caméléon's collection during his fashion column of March 15, 2004.  There also six other designers featured that day, presenting clothing and accessories.

He started by mentioning that these creators were all part of the new Quebec Labels and emerging designers, just as Nadya Toto and Philippe Dubuc have once been.  What a great honour!

Show host Clodine Desrochers, who by the way, was thoroughly delighted with the collection, burst out laughing in surprise when Jean Airoldi took off his boot to show her a delicate Andalouse barefoot sandal adorning his big hairy foot!
